Why you should actually use the resources your therapist gives you- Books, Worksheets, & Therapeutic Suggestions

Thereā€™s a balance of talking and listening as a therapist. Check out the book recommendation tab on my Instagram profilešŸšØ I know that lengthy explanations about psychology at a time of crisis or pain will be of little use to my clients who desperately need to be seen, heard, and validated at their most vulnerable points. Itā€™s impossible to get out chapters of critical information that could help clients shift their understanding and ease their pain in a 50 minute session together. Books are a great way to gain knowledge to bring break into the therapy room and incorporate into the healing process. Whether itā€™s to get expert advice, acquire more detailed tips and strategies to cope, gain a new way of viewing things, there are endless ways to harness the power of a good read.
